Rutger Smith is back - 67.77m in Weert!
Rutger Smith reports on Facebook that he was in an Open meet in Weert where he improved his PB to 67m77.
Smith did the PB in his second attempt under rainy and cold conditions. His old personal record was dated from 2007 and 67m63. Today his throw was over two meters further than his best throw of the season (65m60).
This 67m77 Smith is now also very close to the national record. This NR (68m12) dates from 1991 and is owned by Erik de Bruin
Rutger will have his next start in Tallinn, where ERGO World Games will be held. Dutch team is really strong - also includes Erik Cadee. More information from here
